How does the daily case work?
Every day, a brand new murder mystery is released on the homepage. Read the case file, work the elimination grid to cross out suspects, locations, and weapons the clues rule out, then make your accusation. Free players can always play the current day's case.
Is Criminal Mysteries free to play?
Yes. The daily case is always free. A Premium membership ($4.99/month) additionally unlocks the entire archive — every past case and every case still to come — plus stats, streaks, and a leaderboard synced across your devices.
How is a case actually solved — is it fair?
Every case follows fair-play rules: every clue needed to solve it is shown to you in the case file. Nothing is hidden, and no outside knowledge is required. Read closely, eliminate what the clues rule out, and the truth is what survives on the grid.
What happens if I make the wrong accusation?
You'll see which part of your accusation was wrong (suspect, location, or weapon) and can go back to the clues to try again. Your progress on the elimination grid is saved as you work, so you won't lose your notes.
Do I need an account to play?
No — you can play the daily case without signing in. Creating a free account lets you save your streak, solved-case history, and stats across devices, and is required to track achievements and appear on the leaderboard.
What languages is Criminal Mysteries available in?
The full site — every screen and every case — is available in English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Italian, Norwegian, Swedish, and Danish. Use the language switcher in the header to change languages at any time.
How many cases are in the archive?
New cases are added regularly, spanning five difficulty levels from easy to expert. The full, up-to-date count is always visible on the homepage and in the Case Archive.
Can I cancel my Premium membership anytime?
Yes. Premium billing is handled securely through Stripe, and you can cancel at any time from your account page — you'll keep access through the end of your current billing period.
